THE STONEWARE GALLERY W The Gallery features an exquisite collection of fine contemporary pottery, all handmade by local artists who each exhibit their own unique style. Their work ranges from tableware to one-of-a-kind objects, utilizing several different techniques to create the vast assortment of work available. Having just celebrated its 40th anniversary, the Stoneware Gallery is proud to be one of Canada's longest running artists' cooperatives. Special collections include 3,500 archaeological and First Nations artifacts from throughout Manitoba. Educational curriculum programs and group tours by appointment. In 1983, fire destroyed part of the original buildings and today you can walk along the remaining walls and landscaped paths with interpretive signs. It is also the site of Shakespeare in the Ruins plays and special events. 100 rue des ruines du Monastère – St. Norbert UKRAINIAN MUSEUM OF CANADA W The museum is located in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, a Winnipeg landmark featuring a Ukrainian Baroque architectural style with an exterior mosaic by Leo Mol, a carved icon screenwall and stained glass windows. The museum houses a collection of Ukrainian folk arts and crafts, a library, and gift shop. Newly reclaimed, it is now an interpretive park that tells its story through art, interpretation, and technology. Don't miss the sound and light show.
