CentrePort Canada
CentrePort Canada unveiled its Rail Park
in June, allowing companies to quickly
load goods onto train cars from a central
location. The 80-acre BrookPort Business
Park, also located in CentrePort, began
marketing its new industrial lot spaces.
TappCar
Car sharing services were permitted in
Winnipeg for the first time in March, and
YES! Winnipeg success story TappCar
was first out of the gate. By early 2019,
the company reported more than 700
drivers.
GE
GE unveiled its $26-million facelift to its
aircraft engine testing facility in January,
with new equipment to expand its cold-
weather test capacity.
StandardAero
StandardAero announced in May that
Winnipeg would become its hub for
helicopter engine repair.
