Around the world in 80 plates
Take your taste buds on a global tour at Folklorama, the
world's largest and longest running multicultural festival which is
celebrating 50 years in 2019! Get treated as a VIP as your group
travels to pavilions hosted by countries from all over the world
where culture is shared through song, dance – and above all,
dishes!
Can't make it during the actual festival (August 4-17, 2019; August
2-15, 2020)? No problem! The fine folks from Folklorama can offer
you worldly workshops year-round that will be tailored to your
tour's tastes and could see you pinching perogies or learning
Brazilian folk dance.

Endless culinary options
under one roof
The Forks Market and The Common (it's wine and beer kiosk) have set the
new standard for public markets on the Canadian culinary scene, along
with being one of Canada's most-sustainable tourist destinations.
The Common's 20 beers and 20 wines are all curated by Véronique Rivest,
one of the world's most-celebrated sommeliers, whose titles include best
Sommelier of the Americas (2012), and 2nd place at the World's Best
Sommelier competition (2013). Surrounding The Common are food kiosks
run by some of Winnipeg's best restaurants and food trucks, where dinners
can savour Argentinian empanadas, farm-to-table pizzas and burgers,
nationally acclaimed Italian, baked goods where the local heritage
wheats are milled onsite, sushi and Filipino cuisine (to name but a few).
It all makes for an ideal amount of options for large groups, while new for
summer 2019 is a 250-seat outdoor patio which will be serviced by its own
massive bar.
