They also provide programs utilizing hands-on learning – particularly when it comes to bringing the Arctic to the city. The Inuit People of the North experience shines a light on the traditional lifestyles of Inuit people, demonstrating how limited resources of fur, skin, stone and bone shaped the northern way of life. Adjacent to JTC – and integral to its zoological studies – is the Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre.
