Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is
Manitoba's premier contemporary art gallery
and the first institute of contemporary art in
Canada. Since 1972, Plug In ICA has exhibited the
very best local and international contemporary
art in all media and is internationally renowned
for its landmark exhibitions at home and abroad.
Hours are Wednesday to Friday from noon to
9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and
Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Wah-sa Gallery is devoted exclusively to
Canadian aboriginal art and crafts. This gallery
exhibits a wide range of originals, limitededition prints and art cards. The gallery also
handles craft, pottery, carvings and giftware.

Celebrating its centenary in 2012/13, the
Winnipeg Art Gallery's impressive collection
of more than 26,000 works of art ranges from
ancient Roman glass to 21st century multi
media art, including the world's largest public
collection of contemporary Inuit art. Known
around the world as an iconic modernist
building, the WAG presents a constantly
changing exhibition schedule of national
and international art, as well as emphasizing
the work of Manitoba artists. The Gallery
Shop carries unique jewellery, ceramics, and
glassware handcrafted by Canadian artists.
The bright and airy Storm Bistro overlooks the
rooftop sculpture garden, and Relax Coffee Bar
is located on the main level. The WAG is located
within walking distance of all downtown hotels.

Located among the boutiques and restaurants
of Academy Road, Woodlands Gallery represents
an engaging selection of contemporary works
by emerging and established Canadian artists.
In addition to original paintings, the gallery
offers handmade jewellery, ceramics, blown
glass and mono-prints, as well as professional
custom framing and art consultation. Please
contact the gallery for current exhibitions &
events.
