Nature Playground: Dan Harper Photography Leo Mol Sculpture Garden: Assiniboine Park Conservancy Leo Mol Sculpture Garden The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is a serene garden brimming with flowers and tranquil pools, which features the magnificent work of internationally recognized Ukrainian-Canadian master sculptor Dr. Leo Mol. Located in Assiniboine Park adjacent to the English Garden; it is one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in all of Winnipeg and a unique cultural landmark for Canada. More than 300 of Dr. Mol's works, bronze and ceramic sculptures, paintings and drawings, are displayed in the garden, which combines artistic beauty with a natural setting. The large outdoor stage features performances for every taste and age, including jazz, the symphony, Ballet in the Park and the highly popular Movies in the Park. The Lyric Theatre is a fitting home for quality, family entertainment, all provided free of charge. Nature Playground From your first steps down the tree-lined path toward the Nature Playground, you will be transported into a world of wonder that encourages children of all ages to run, jump, climb, explore, and play! Exercise your body and your imagination while you explore the sand and water play area, slithering slides, a sky-high crow's nest, willow tree tunnels, basket swings, a giant robin's nest, net bridges and topiaries. These unique features are inspired by and incorporated into the area's natural surroundings, which include two acres of trees, gardens, gently rolling hills, and colourful rubber mountains. Philips. As well, the rotation gallery features exhibitions by Manitoba's premier and emerging artists. Located on the second floor of the Pavilion Gallery Museum, The Pooh Gallery houses a permanent collection of Winnie the Pooh artifacts and memorabilia, including pop-up books, toys and figurines as well as the famous painting "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Pot" by Ernest H. Shepard, the original illustrator of A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh books. The centre's meeting and banquet facilities include a 220-seat reception hall and boast state-of-the-art audio and video technology. Executive chef Heiko Duehrsen has created a banquet menu featuring an impressive selection of savoury soups, delicious salads, sumptuous entrées, and tempting desserts.
