Campaign goals 2021-2025 * Real. GOALS. Talent & workforce development We will continue to work with businesses, educational institutions, sector councils, government and partners to identify gaps and opportunities within our talent ecosystem to ensure Winnipeg is able to attract and retain top talent. Strategic infrastructure investment We will continue to work with various levels of government to pursue strategic infrastructure investment in our city, priorities being enhancements to the North End Water Treatment Facility and the development of CentrePort South. Downtown revitalization We will work with our partners to support the development of Winnipeg's Exchange District, the SHED (Sports, Hospitality and Entertainment District), Innovation Alley, the opening up of Portage and Main, and the redevelopment of surface parking lots into value-added developments in our downtown. Government policy development We will continue to leverage our private sector insights and direct links with industry and YES! Winnipeg investors to inform policy development at all three levels of government. create 10,000 jobs (direct, indirect and induced) generate $900 M in GDP (aggregate economic impact) attract $350 M in capital investment *at maturity Winnipeg is at a pivotal time in its evolution. Business attraction, foreign direct investment and new industry growth are all driving the city's economic sectors forward. We are being internationally recognized for our affordability, quality of life, strategic location and economic opportunities. As we embark on a new five year investment campaign, we are ready to advance Winnipeg to new heights and engage current and future Winnipeggers as ambassadors for our great city.
