The Treat Yourself, Winnipeg Style theme took writers on a journey through Winnipeg including three stops —Nonsuch Brewing, Thermëa by Nordik Spa-Nature and Hargrave Street Market. The tour was a tremendous success, garnering attention and accolades from media and the federal tourism agency, Destination Canada. Talent talk We also launched a brand-new talent hub website with a toolkit for business with resources and up-to-date talent news. In addition, a brand-new quality of life website was launched to help companies in their recruitment efforts. It features video testimonials and stories about why Winnipeg is an ideal place to study, work, live and play. Sector stories of growth We developed two new videos for the transportation & distribution and life sciences sectors, both highlighting the key advantages of Winnipeg. In partnership with the Province of Manitoba, our team produced a protein-processing subsector sell sheet to highlight Manitoba's protein advantage. We also created a new sector video for agribusiness highlighting protein processing and agricultural technology. Investor Insights As the pandemic continued to evolve, we recognized that many Winnipeg companies were stepping up to meet the challenges of COVID-19 and putting our city on the global map with innovative products and services. The Investor Insights blog and video series was created to display how YES! Winnipeg investors continue to innovate in the face of challenges and work to grow Winnipeg's economy.
