Coming to Canada Find out everything you need to know when bringing your tour group to Canada including passport requirements, border crossing information and holidays. Entry requirements For up-to-date information on passport and travel documents, as well as COVID-19 testing and entry requirements, go to the Government of Canada's Travel and Tourism website (travel.gc.ca). For local provincial restrictions and travel updates, go to the Government of Manitoba website (manitoba.ca/covid19) Student exceptions U.S. and Canadian citizen children under age 19 arriving by bus or train and travelling with a school group do not require a passport. The student may present an original or copy of their birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, a Naturalization Certificate or a Canadian Citizenship Card. Arrivals by air travel requires a passport. Border crossing information for motorcoach tours Providing border crossings with tour information prior to your arrival will help ensure a smoother border crossing. Fax your information at least 24 hours prior to arrival on company letterhead with the following: company name, brief description of visit, date and estimated time of arrival, number of coaches and names, birthdates, passport numbers and country of origin of all passengers. If entering Canada via Interstate 29 at Emerson, Manitoba, fax your information to Canada Border Services at 204.373.2275. If returning to the U.S. via Highway 75 at Pembina, North Dakota, fax your information to U.S. Customs and Border Protection at 701.825.5980.
