Measurement
Canada uses the international metric system. Temperatures, rainfall measures, distance,
weights and velocity are expressed in metric units.
Length: 1 kilometre = 1.6 mile or 1 mile = .6 kilometre
Capacity: 1 litre = 1.06 US quart or 1 US quart = 0.95 litre
Weight: 1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds or 1 pound = 0.45 kilogram
Speed: 30 mph = 50 km/h / 65 mph = 100 km/h
Temperature
Celsius to fahrenheit: multiply the Celsius temperature by 1.8 and then add 32 = Fahrenheit
0 Celsius = 32 Fahrenheit / 15 Celsius = 59 Fahrenheit
25 Celsius = 77 Fahrenheit / 30 Celsius = 86 Fahrenheit
