Marketing & Branding highlights EDW's Marketing and Branding team leads all marketing, communications and branding initiatives to support the organization's vision by highlighting Winnipeg's advantage to business and visitors. We tell the Winnipeg story in compelling ways and develop and distribute creative content to help our city stand out from the crowd. We market that content in a way that increases its impact, maximizes its reach and gets the right message to the right audience at the right time. Telling the Winnipeg story Everyone loves a good story and our team of experts know how to craft impactful narratives to support how we sell our city to global audiences. We develop creative ideas and turn them into award-winning and effective campaigns that helps teams across EDW reach their goals. We developed a new video for the Tourism Winnipeg Meetings team called The Story Meeting, a humorous behind-the-scenes look at how we develop our creative ideas targeted towards meeting planners. As part of our Here For It leisure campaign, we produced a summer staycation video targeted to locals to give them ideas on how to match great hotels with our best attractions. We wrote a very well-read article: 21 reasons Winnipeg is one of the world's smartest communities in 2021 to capitalize on our recognition from the Intelligent Community Forum. Supporting EDW's goals: The marketing team produced creative and targeted content to support the work of our business development. Highlights included: » The development of a new website landing page for our Foreign Direct Investment team initiatives. » The creation of a new talent attraction video and campaign that focuses on careers in the tech industry and the quality-of-life opportunities in Winnipeg. » An animated 'explainer' video and a new website landing page promoting the tax credit advantages of investing in Manitoba's film and interactive digital media industries. 24 2021 ANNUAL REPORT
