Ivan Franko Museum

Ivan Franko was a 19th-century Ukrainian writer and
political activist. Oil paintings in the museum illustrate
highlights of his life; other artwork illustrate his literary
work. Also on display are colourful Ukrainian folk art
including musical instruments, tapestries, ceramics,
embroidery and wood carvings.

Living Prairie Museum

The Living Prairie Museum is a 30-acre (12-hectare) tall
grass prairie preserve and interpretive centre. Protected
in 1968, this preserve is home to more than 160 species
of prairie plants and a great array of prairie wildlife. Less
than one per cent of tall grass prairie remains in North
America. The Living Prairie Museum is one of the few
remaining fragments of this once vast ecosystem. Enjoy
self-guided trails, exhibits and seasonal family events.

Valley! This storied site hosted the signing of the first of
the Numbered Treaties and served as a stronghold for
the Hudson's Bay Company. Mint your own coin with
the blacksmith, explore the governor's home at the Big
House or sit in an authentic birch bark dwelling and listen
to stories from Indigenous Elders.
