2SLGBTQIA+ GUIDE
TO WINNIPEG
Winnipeg's diverse and tight-knit 2SLGBTQIA+
community has a rich history of inclusion and
recognition. Winnipeg was the first major
North American city to elect an openly gay
mayor, same-sex marriage has been legal (and
celebrated) in Manitoba since 2004, while
we've staged vibrant Pride Winnipeg Festivals
annually since 1987.
