Graffiti Gallery

Graffiti Gallery is a not-for-profit community youth art
organization that hosts community urban art exhibits
by young local, Canadian and international artists. More
than 700 emerging artists have performed or shown their
work since it opened in 1998. The satellite gallery located
at The Forks Skate Plaza features an additional six panels
of art.

Historical Museum of
St. James-Assiniboia

See history up close in the two-storey, 1856 Red River
Frame House owned by William Brown and then step
next door to visit the 1911 Municipal Hall building featuring
the history of St. James-Assiniboia. Finally, explore the
1890s Interpretive Centre with displays detailing pioneer
life. Experience live summer theatre for groups by
appointment or during Doors Open Winnipeg.

Ivan Franko Museum

Ivan Franko was a 19
th
-century Ukrainian writer and
political activist. Oil paintings in the museum illustrate
highlights of his life; other artwork illustrate his literary
work. Also on display are colourful Ukrainian folk art
including musical instruments, tapestries, ceramics,
embroidery and wood carvings.

Katie + Gunner Gallery
Katie + Gunner Gallery is a contemporary art space
showcasing Inuit art, limited-edition designer art toys
and rotating exhibitions of non-Inuit contemporary art.
Housed in a century-old heritage building, the gallery
also hosts creative workshops and occasional live
performances.

Living Prairie Museum

Living Prairie Museum is a unique urban nature preserve
that protects the endangered tall grass prairie. The
nature preserve is home to over 160 species of prairie
plants and wildlife. The site has walking trails and an
interpretive centre. Events and education programs are
held year-round. Visitors can enjoy self-guiding trails,
hands-on exhibits and seasonal family events.
