The Government of Saskatchewan, through Tourism Saskatchewan, pledges up to $1.25 million toward the bid for the championship. This support is contingent upon the selection of Saskatoon and Winnipeg as host cities, and the development of a contract. Saskatchewan is in a strong position to co-host this prestigious event, and it would be a privilege for the province to welcome the talented athletes, poised to take the stage as the next generation of hockey superstars and role models. The city of Saskatoon has repeatedly proven its success in hosting national and international competitions, including the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship. Saskatoon is a community that excels at hospitality, demonstrated through the work of dedicated event organizers, committee members and volunteers. Impressive facilities, accommodations and attractions contribute to the city's capacity for hosting world-class events and putting on a show that will be remembered for years. Please accept best wishes and encouragement as you proceed with efforts to bring this exciting competition to Saskatchewan. Sincerely, Honourable Jeremy Harrison Minister of the Economy Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan GuaRaNTOR aND FiNaNCial SuppORT
