THE FORKS Manitoba's most popular attraction, The Forks is an exquisite riverside centre in the heart of Winnipeg featuring shops, restaurants, markets, museums, a hotel, theatre, special events, boat tours, bicycle, canoe and ice skate rentals along with the Red River Mutual Trail in winter, and much more. The Wall Through Time and riverwalk to the Legislative Building depicts its 6,000 years of history. Tel: 204.942.6302 Email: info@tf-np.ca www.theforks.com On Site at The Forks FESTIVAL PARK Festival Park and Stage provides the epicentre for many of Winnipeg's special events such as Canada Day, APTN's National Aboriginal Day Live, and Interstellar Rodeo. THE FORKS MARKET The Forks Market offers a multitude of food kiosks, dining, patios, and shops with a variety of specialty items and souvenirs. It features a fresh food emporium as well as a newly renovated Food Hall featuring local ethnic eateries and The Common, a craft beer and wine kiosk. The Upstairs Loft features artworks from more than 300 local and Canadian artisans, while you can also enjoy views of the city from the six-storey high tower. Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily; and to 11 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. THE FORKS MARKET PLAZA The Forks Market Plaza features fountains, canopies, dance programs, several open performance spaces and incomparable patios. In winter, it is home to a skating rink with piped-in music under a canopy of twinkling lights. JOHNSTON TERMINAL This historic building offers three levels of fabulous shopping and dining including shops, specialty boutiques, a gallery, restaurant, and an antique mall. It is also connected to the Travel Manitoba Visitor Information Centre. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily; and Fridays to 9 p.m. Tel: 204.956.5593 OODENA CELEBRATION CIRCLE A natural shallow amphitheatre known as the Oodena Celebration Circle is located near the junction of the two rivers. A naked eye observatory, it pays homage to 6,000 years of Aboriginal peoples in the area and features ethereal sculptures, a sundial, interpretive signage, and a ceremonial fire pit.
