Graffiti Gallery is a not-for-profit
community youth art organization that
hosts community urban art exhibits by
young local, Canadian, and international
artists. More than 700 emerging artists
have performed or shown their work since
it opened in 1998. The satellite gallery
located at The Forks Skate Plaza features
an additional six panels of art that can
be viewed.
Open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
also Wednesday and Thursday until 9 p.m.

GRANT'S OLD MILL

See a working replica of Cuthbert Grant's
original water-powered mill built in 1829.
During summer, see how wheat is ground
into flour. The mill celebrates Grant and the
Métis culture the second Saturday in July
with a barbecue and activities and a pioneer
picnic on the third Saturday in August.

The museum is comprised of a two-storey
Red River frame house built in 1856 for
William Brown; a 1911 Municipal Hall
Building; and an 1890s interpretive
centre showcasing early pioneer trades
and modes of transportation. A Pioneer
Heritage Day is held in August and a
summer theatre show is available for
groups by appointment.

This preserve is home to a remnant of
original tall grass prairie. It features more
than 160 species of wildflowers, grasses,
and shrubs, and an array of wildlife.
Explore this endangered ecosystem with
a guide, interpretive booklet, or with
"Naturalist Knapsacks" that are free to
borrow and are full of fun equipment for
kids.
