During this time Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and Tourism Winnipeg collaborated to create a top-notch experience, including a VIP welcome experience at the airport, while pageantry and banners were found throughout the city to ensure visitors re- ceived a warm Winnipeg welcome. A 'Best of Fest Downtown,' was also put on for delegates so they could get a taste of what Winnipeg locals love most at a pop- up party outside the convention centre that included 10 food trucks, three bands, 15 farmers' market vendors, buskers and visual art projected on giant screens.
