BREWERIES &
DISTILLERIES
Hops, sours, radlers and gin—if you have a thirst,
Winnipeg will quench it. Wet your whistle at
one of the taprooms or distilleries below and
we guarantee you'll have plenty to pour... ahem,
pore over. Be sure to pick up some stylish merch
while you're at it too.
Barn Hammer Brewing
595 Wall Street • barnhammerbrewing.ca
One of the original spots that made Wall Street so cool,
Barn Hammer's handsome taproom features a nice patio
outside and a brick interior that beckons. They are always
hosting cool events—from drag shows to crazy beer
release parties to countless fundraisers for local charities—
while you can usually find up to 15 diverse varieties of beer
in the taproom.
Bernhard Wieland Brewing
121 Charles Street
instagram.com/bernhardwielandbrewer
Bernhard Wieland's pet project within the Germany
Society's SchnitzelHause is a real micro-operation. Here
the veteran brewer (Little Brown Jug, Winnipeg Brew
Werks and currently Brazen Hall) produces around 200
cans and eight different beers that are available weekly.
Borusse fans will love the BWB can design.
Brazen Hall Kitchen and Brewery
800 Pembina Highway • brazenhall.ca
This always-busy restaurant brews on site with a range
of beers that complement a great pub menu featuring
award-winning burgers. There's plenty of live music
outside on the patio in summer too.
Capital K Distillery
1680 Dublin Avenue #3 • capitalkdistillery.com
This multiple award-winning distillery by Jason Kang
opened in 2016, taking the city by storm with its ultra-
smooth vodka and gins. Its lineup now includes a range of
flavoured vodkas and gins, while tours/tastings/cocktail
classes are available via request.
Dastardly Villain Brewery
726 Osborne (taproom set to open in 2023)
dastardlyvillain.com
Currently brewing within Torque, this brewery launched
its first can on August 13, 2021, (a Friday, you guessed it)
and has since expanded its offerings to include a number
of audacious ales.
Devil May Care Brewing Company
155-A Fort Street • devilmaycarebrewing.com
Devil May Care's vibrant cans always stand out on the
shelves, while their seasonal Tabula Rosa is one of our all-
time favs. The brand new downtown taproom just opened
in late 2022.
Fort Garry Brewing Company
130 Lowson Crescent • fortgarry.com
Fort Garry has been brewing since 1930, with a number of
different owners and parent companies during that time.
It's once again locally owned and you can find its flagship
beers and seasonal releases across the city.
