On behalf of Hockey Manitoba and our partners of the World Junior Championship Bid Committee, we
are pleased to extend our invitation to yourself and Hockey Canada for the proposed 2019 and 2021
World Junior Hockey Championships.
The amount of excitement generated in our province amongst the committee's intent to pursue hosting
one of these prestigious events is surely an indication of Manitoba's overwhelming love and support of
the game of hockey. We have a strong reputation in hosting major international events and the bid
committee is confident that not only would the event be a financial success, our branch would be an
excellent showcase for the tremendous talent the country has developed.
Junior hockey is experiencing an encouraging increase in numbers and development, and it is very
prevalent in Manitoba, and the World Championships held in the heart of Canada would serve as a
reminder of the growth in the game to all young players.
We look forward to the opportunity of presenting our bid and showcasing our venue, city and province
along with the many amenities we have to offer the World Junior Hockey Championship.
