At the end of 2015, the City of Winnipeg's 5% accommodation tax collection totaled $8.9 million. In a year-over-year
comparison, the 2015 dollar value of taxes collected gained 11.8%. As of January to September 2016, the City of
Winnipeg's 5% accommodation tax collection totaled $7.5 million; up 17% in a year-over-year comparison.
